Collisional relaxation of relativistic and degenerate electrons

Abstract

We derive a Fokker–Planck equation for relativistic and degenerate electrons interacting with ions. The ions may be degenerate and relativistic. Applications to a supernova plasma and laser–plasma interaction motivate this work.
