On some solutions representing a dipole field immersed in an infinite plasma

Abstract

It is shown that some recent solutions representing a dipole field immersed in an infinite plasma, which is perfectly conducting, belong to the vorticity equation in steady inviscid hydrodynamics. Further solutions of this equation, referring to the same problem, are constructed and discussed.
