Collins Government Avionics Division (CGAD) of Rockwell International became involved with the Navstar Global Positioning System (GPS) in 1974. Since that time, the division has accomplished several key milestones in the development of GPS user equipment including the first transatlantic flight of an aircraft using GPS signals.
