Septic arthritis of the temporomandibular joint complicating otitis externa

Abstract

Septic arthritis of the temporomandibular joint is an uncommon condition. As a complication of otitis externa it is extremely rare. Two cases are reported and the aetiology, diagnosis and management discussed.
