The Effect of Light on the Emergence of Cercaria pygocytophora, a Furcocercaria from Planorbis carinatus

Extract

C. pygocytophora emerges from P. carinatus predominantly in the dark, independently of the time of day, and in the absence of temperature variation.

C. Pygocytophora shows strong negative phototaxis.
