In the South Asia book review by SherAli Tareen (Reference SherAli and Khan2017, 551), the diacriticals on Ulama in the quote, “such as on the part of traditionalist ‘Ulama’ like Deobandis” were incorrectly changed to quotation marks prior to publication.

In addition, on page 551 of this review, the diacriticals should be “Jama‘at al-Islami and Jama‘at al-Da‘wa”, not “Jama'at and Da'wa” as it is currently listed.

We sincerely regret the error and any problems that have resulted for the authors and readers.
