The February 1998 issue (57.1) of the Journal mistakenly included a picture of Robert I. Crane, which was to accompany his obituary, in the other obituary featured in this issue, that of John Whitney Hall (p. 306). The Editor regrets this terrible oversight and offers his sincere apologies to the families and friends of Robert I. Crane and John Whitney Hall. The corrected obituaries follow on pages 633–38.
