Migratory populations in branching processes

Abstract

A general age-dependent branching process is studied in which the population is distributed in N colonies. Migration from one colony to another is possible and no particular geometrical configuration is assumed for the colonies. Asymptotic expressions for the first two moments are given in several different cases.
