The performance of four varieties of lucerne, du Puits, Provence, Grimm and S 205, as spaced plants, in broadcast plots and in drills, with and without a companion grass was compared by yield of dry matter, percentage and yield of crude protein, leanness, weediness and reaction to leaf spot (Pseudopeziza medicaginis).
