To assist persons wising to locate their relatives, computers have been installed in ICRC offices in Albania, Macedonia, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Moreover, a team assembled by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) provided an Internet service to Kosovo barely 100 days after the arrival of UN peacekeepers, The project offered free, reliable and inexpensive communications to local organizations and was instrumental in efforts to reunite families.
