[On March 11, 1972, the Government of Argentina denounced the General Treaty of Arbitration of May 28, 1902, between Chile and Argentina, in accordance with Article 15 of that Treaty (1 A.J.I.L. Supp. 294 (1907). The General Treaty of Arbitration will terminate on September 22, 1972.

[Settlement of the Beagle Channel controversy is proceeding under the terms of the Argentina-Chile-United Kingdom Agreement of July 22, 1971 (10 I.L.M. 1182 (1971).]
