[The Resolution was adopted by a vote of 14 in favor to none against, with 1 abstention (Syria). At the request of the U.S.S.R., a separate vote was taken on paragraph 5. The paragraph was adopted by 12 votes in favor to none against, with 3 abstentions (Poland, Syria, U.S.S.R.).

[As of November 17, 1971, the Israeli Government had been unwilling to co-operate with the Secretary-General with regard to paragraph 5 of the Resolution.]
