1. The Cezerī Kasim Pasa mosque was built in 1515 north of the land walls on the Golden Horn (Boyd, Hilary-Sumner and Freely, John, Strolling through Istanbul [Istanbul, 1972], p. 417Google Scholar). The quarter was a popular residential district for bureaucrats and pasas.
2. The office is actually near the han, not in it. Close to the han is the Ahi Celebi mosque, the Golden Horn downhill from the Süleymaniye mosque complex (ibid., 236–237).
