Some years ago at Bergedorf we studied the field around Alpha Persei (Heckmann, O. et alt., 1956). In an area of 5° x 5° more than 100 cluster members were found from an analysis of proper motions (p.m.) of 1453 stars. Meanwhile the field was studied photo metric ally (e.g. Mitchell, R. I., 1960). The age of the group seems to be comparable to that of the Pleiades (cp. e.g. Dachs, J., 1970), of the order of magnitude 108 years.
