This review tries to expose some essential aspects of our current understanding of diffusion processes in magnetic CP stars. Many problems remain to be explained due to the fact that the presence of strong magnetic fields increases the number of free parameters in “diffusion models”. More observational constraints are needed before one can attempt modelling every aspects of magnetic CP stars.
