Calculations show that a significant variation in the minima of eclipsing binaries should arise for systems where axial precession exists. Several different angular velocity distributions are assumed in order to estimate the expected photometric variation as a function of the model parameters. It is found that the solid body rotation approximation is a reasonable representation unless interiors rotate more rapidly than present models predict.
