1 See Spencer, Anita, Seasons: Women's Search for Self through Life's Stages (Mahwah, NJ: Paulist, 1982).Google Scholar Something that bothered me throughout the book is the authors' lack of footnoting when giving direct quotations. Sources would be helpful in providing background for students who take issue or for those interested in further exploration. I noted that Madges does indicate page numbers of quotations from Sallie McFague (333) and Gordon Kaufman (367).

2 One of these new religions, “the Universalist Church,” was a puzzler (187). It is far from new, although its merger with Unitarianism may be intended. Or Unity? Or Unification?
