X-ray and Optical Properties of Radio Jets

Over the last few years the high-quality imaging and spectroscopic data from Chandra and XMM-Newton have added greatly to our knowledge of the physics of radio jets. Supported by optical data, we are now able to understand much about jet energetics. Here I review the current state of knowledge.
