1 Draguet (pp. 16–17) discusses the relations between the Tomus and the Oratio contra Dyophysitas mentioned by Zacharias Rhetor and Michael Syrus, and suggests, without accepting the view, that as the Tomus was confined to the defence of Christ's ἀϕθαρσία, the Oratio may have been a more general polemic against the views of the Dyophysites.

2 Draguet (p. 34) corrects the mistaken supposition that the Additiones formed a separate work by Julian.

3 Apparently the scribe made an amusing blunder and miscopied the title κατὰ τῶν βλασϕημιῶν Σευήρου as κατὰ βλασϕημιῶν ἐπὶ Σευῆρον, a fact that Severus modestly ascribed to the immediate intervention of Providence.
