page 481 note 1 Of course, the publication of the documents in the book entitled Nazi-Soviet Relations by the Department of State in 1948 was and remains so complete that the documents provide all the necessary information if and when they are read. And a few painstaking historians still assemble more material and present new confirmation of the events and of their significance. One of the latest: R. W. Weber’s Entstehungs-Geschichte des Hitler-Stalin Paktes, Frankfurt, 1980, is also one of the best documented.
