On the Affinities of the Cretaceous Lamellibranch Genera Trigonioides and Hoffetrigonia

Abstract

The East Asian Cretaceous lamellibranch genera Trigonioides and Hoffetrigonia are discussed after examining new material of the former, and the conclusion is reached that both belong to the Unionidae and not to the Trigoniidae. A proposal to include them in a new family is withdrawn.
