Persistence of Gamma BHC (Lindane) and Malathion Residues on Fruits of Bhindi (Abelmoschus esculantus L.) under Indian Conditions
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 03 October 2008
Summary
The persistence of residues of gamma BHC and malathion on bhindi fruits was estimated by bioassay using 1-day-old male Drosophila flies. Although the initial deposits were heavy, they dissipated quickly, with half-lives of approximately 4 and 2 days for gamma BHC and malathion respectively.
