P-833 - to Study the Effect of Problem-solving Skill Education on First Year High School Male Students in Songhor Koliayi Township in Academic Year

The purpose of the study was to examine the effectiveness of problem solving skill on academic achievement of students.The study population consisted of all male students in first year of high school. Sample size was 40 persons and it was determined by a multistage random sampling method. Academic achievement test and problem solving skill test were used in order to measure variables of the research during the eight sessions (2 hours) for a month. The study will be semi-experimental and of the pretest - posttest type with control group and follow up stage. T-test and analysis of covariance was used in order to analyze data and study research questions. The results showed that the academic progress of students who have received problem-solving skills was more than academic progress of students who have not receive problem-solving skills. The academic progress of students over time have a good stability.
