Self-injurious behavior is often understood by clinicians to be synonymous with suicidal behavior. This presentation will focus on addressing contemporary conceptual and treatment issues that play role in understanding self-injurious and suicidal behavior of BPD clients within the context of clinical treatment and a community response.
