Factores curativos percibidos y su relación con la evolución: un estudio de pacientes esquizofrénicos en un programa de tratamiento amplio basado en la terapia cognitiva

Resumen

Veintiocho pacientes esquizofrénicos y otros pacientes enfermos mentales a largo plazo que recibieron sesiones de terapia cognitiva dos veces por semana en el contexto de un programa de tratamiento amplio para pacientes internos fueron evaluados cada 5 semanas con respecto a los factores curativos percibidos. Las evaluaciones se hicieron por un cuestionario de autoinforme (Cuestionario de Factores Curativos [CFQ]) y una evaluación cualitativa de los pacientes de lo que percibían como útil en el tratamiento. Los resultados mostraron que los elementos de terapia del medio y las sesiones de terapia se percibieron como los factores más útiles durante todo el período de tratamiento. No se encontraron correlaciones entre las características del paciente y los factores curativos percibidos. Los factores de “instilación de esperanza”, “solución de problemas” y “saber que no estoy solo” evaluados en la fase inicial del tratamiento mostraron una relación positiva con una evolución favorable del tratamiento en el alta.
