Quetiapina en ancianos con parkinsonismo y psicosis

Resumen

En el presente estudio prospectivo al descubierto se investigaron los efectos de la quetiapina en dos pacientes ancianos con parkinsonismo y psicosis. El tratamiento indujo un acusado efecto antipsicótico que coincidió con una mejoría del funcionamiento motor general. Estos hallazgos apoyan la idea de que la quetiapina puede servir preferencialmente en los ancianos con enfermedad de Parkinson y síntomas psicóticos.
