Constraining dark energy using H(z), CMB shift and SNIa observational data
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 30 September 2008
Abstract
We constrain a set of general relativistic dark energy models, togetherwith some other models motivated by extra dimensions, using a combination of three background geometry tests: H(z) data, CMB shift and SNIa data. Resting mostly on Bayesianstatistics, we conclude that LCDM is at least substantially favored, and that models with extra dimensional motivation are less favored than general relativistic ones.
