Current world oil production is approximately 85 million barrels per day (mb/d). The International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasts global oil production of 104 mb/d by 2020 and 116 mb/d by 2030. Saudi Arabia proudly maintains that it can dramatically increase production at any time to help meet higher demand.
