Where were you on September 11, 2001? I was at the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Emergency Management Institute, Emmetsburg, Maryland, preparing to teach a Debris Management Course to over 50 state and local emergency managers. Needless to say, I never expected to have to put into practice what we were teaching at the time.
