1. I make a distinction between Gandhi ology and Gandhism. "Gandhism" is a term of limited import and refers to the ideas of Gandhi. "Gandhiology," on the other hand, includes a study of his life as well as of his ideas. A similar distinction has been made between Buddhology and Buddhism or be tween Marxology and Marxism.
