1. Catan has also edited a companion volume, Aristotle: The Collected Papers of Joseph Owens, Albany: State University of New York Press, 1981Google Scholar. This suggests that perhaps the plan is to publish Owens papers, grouped by topic, in a series of volumes. But no such plan is mentioned in the Preface to either volume.

2. Of these six, all but “Aquinas and the Five Ways” is confined to the prima via, the proof from motion.
