page 332 note 1 In a recent number of the Classical Review (Feb. 1901, p. 23) Mrdrew, HeadlamGoogle Scholar attention to the epigram of the Emperor Julian on ‘Wine made from barley.’ Both Mr. Headlam and (before him) Hehn see in the Epigram two puns. Stephanos (s.v. τράγος) rightly noted a third, in τράγος—non hircum sed ex olyra et tritico confectum panem intelligebat. I would suggest vinum confectum.
page 336 note 1 Whether the last two cippi belong to the Anio Vetus or to the Marcia is doubtful: but on the first (No. 626) the name of the aqueduct can be clearly read, and the second, from its position, must belong to the same aqueduct.
