page 428 note 2 This is the only passage cited by Lewis and Short for this meaning of pompa, but the reference is wrongly given as Macrob. Sat. ii. 12. Correct to iii. 16. 1, (Eyssenhardt). The same error is made by Friedlaender in his note on Petronius 60, to be cited presently. Brix-Niemeyer, though they had this place in mind, do not give the exact reference.
