2 Brugmann does not, I think, explain the meaning ‘and’ But this use is equally derivable from the original meaning ‘anyhow, certainly’; thence to ‘indeed,’ ‘furthermore,’ ‘next,’ ‘and.’ Cf. Osc.enim ‘and’ = Lat. enim.
