page 83 note 1 I find that Heyse, (die Ortstie des Aeschylus, 1884)Google Scholar suggested σƲνεμ⋯τρΟƲ τΟῖς σΟῖς π⋯ρα. See Wecklein's edition, addenda et corrigenda. Also that Weil suggested dividing ⋯χνΟσκΟπΟ⋯σ⋯ τ' and reading ἴχνΟς σπΟπΟ⋯σ⋯ γ' in some other setting of the lines.
page 84 note 1 I must except Paley, who in a note expressed preference for Robortello's order, but wished to read σƲμμ⋯Tau;ρΟις τ? σ? πΟδ⋯. The substitution of πΟδ⋯ for κ⋯ρα was an audacity of his own.
