Fixed subaortic stenosis and redundant mitral valve forming subaortic chamber during ventricular systole
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 19 August 2008
Summary
A 43-year-old female with complaints of exertional dyspnea was found by Doppler echocardiography to have fixed subaortic stenosis and a redundant mitral valve which, during systole, formed a chamber in the left ventricular outflow tract. This resulted in a subaortic gradient of 40 mm Hg. There was also moderate aortic regurgitation.
