We consider the second order differential equation

with the assumptions that

(2) f(x) is continuous (- ∞ < x < ∞) and p(t) is continuous and bounded: |p(t)| ≤ E, - ∞ < t < ∞.

Also, throughout this paper, F(x) denotes an antiderivative of f(x).
