Abstract

C.G. Gifford, a retired professor of social work at Dalhousie University, publishes here the results of his last research. Basing this research on 90 indepth interviews of persons prominent in the organization of seniors' asssociations in Canada, the United States and Europe, Gifford traces the history of these organizations and provides us with a critical analysis of their political involvement. This is an indispensable work.
