Extract

The Co-editors wish to note the following substantive corrections to the note “The Inequality of Distribution in tne Canadian Provincial Assemblies” by Harvey Pasis, THIS JOURNAL, v, no 3 (Sept 1972):

Page 434, following the first sentence of the first paragraph, column one, line 5 should read:

The collections can be arranged in order of increasng size,x1x2 ≤ … xn. Then form n partial sums, S1 = x1,S2 = S1 + x2, …, Sn = sn-1 + xn. The Gini ratio may now be calculated by the formula4

Page 434, second paragraph, second column, lines four and five should read:

.259 in 1953 to .196 in 1958; however, by 1966, the 1953 level had almost been reached again.

We accept full responsibility for the printed errors.
