TWO NEW GENERA OF RHYPAROCHROMINAE (HEMIPTERA: LYGAEIDAE) FROM NORTH AMERICA

Abstract

A new genus of Gonianotini, Spinigernotus, is described with Sphragisticus simulatus Barber 1918 as type-species. S. simulatus, known only from New Mexico, is reported from Mexico. The new genus Cordillonotus, and type-species C. stellatus, are described from British Columbia, California, Oregon, and Washington. Cordillonotus is tentatively placed in the tribe Rhyparochromini.

Résumé

On décrit un nouveau genre de Gonianotini, soit Spinigernotus, le Sphragisticus simulatus Barber 1918 étant considéré comme espèce type. Le S. simulatus, connu seulement pour le Nouveau Mexique, est rapporté pour le Mexique. On décrit le genre nouveau Cordillonotus et l'espèce type C. stellatus en provenance de la Colombie Britannique, la Californie, l'Oregon et l'état de Washington. Cordillonotus est provisoirement placé dans la tribu des Rhyparochromini.
