PRISTIPHORA ACIDOVALVA, A NEW SAWFLY ON WILLOW (HYMENOPTERA: TENTHREDINIDAE)

Abstract

Pristiphora acidovalva is described as a new sawfly on willow. It has been collected from New Brunswick to British Columbia in Canada. The new species is compared with P. leucostoma (Lindqvist), which it closely resembles.

Description de la Tenthrède du Saule, Pristiphora acidovalva, ci-devant inconnue, qui infeste les Saules canadiens du Nouveau-Brunswick à la Colombie Britannique. Comparaisons avec P. leucostoma (Lindqvist), espèce affine.
