Extract

The conspicuously colored larva of Cucullia asteroides Gn. is commonly seen feeding on the flowers of autumn Compositae. Numerous descriptions of the color pattern of this species are recorded. To complete these, the setal arrangement and other distinguishing structural features are described below.
