Extract

A new species discovered by me in 1883, whilst collecting for Mr. Henley Grose Smith, of England. It was described by Mr. W. H. Edwards shortly after my return. In the end of the June and beginning of July, I found this insect easy to capture. It was comparatively rare in some districts of the North-west Territory, but at the principal crossing of the Red Deed River and the neighborhood of Fort Edmonton, it was quite common.
