The half-tone illustrations of the butterfly transition forms, herein described, vary somewhat in size from the actual specimens; therefore, a reference to their wing expanse, as given in the text is advisable. The classification of these specimens follows that outlined in the November, 1927, Entom. News (Philadephia) and which was first suggested in that publication.
