FEMALE GENITALIA OF THE NORTH AMERICAN SPECIES OF THE CICINDELA MARITIMA GROUP (COLEOPTERA: CICINDELIDAE)

Abstract

The external and internal female genitalia of the North American species comprising the Cicindela maritima group are described and figured. An identification key based on these structures is provided. A phylogeny based on the female genitalia is postulated for the group.
