In the October number of the Canadian Entomologist, I told of the appearance at Levis of a tortoise-beetle new to this Province.

A question as to the identiy of this insect having been raised, I asked Professor E.A. Popenoe, of Kansas State Agricultural College (to whom i was sending specimens), for his opinion upon it. I also sent specimens to the Coleopterist of the British Museum, with a like request. Both gentleman very kindly answered me.
