page 227 note * The head capsule, neck plates, terga, ovipositor, etc., of certain Hymenoptera are astonishingly like those of certain Neuroptera, while the mouthparts, male genitalia, etc., of the Hymenoptera are more like those of the Coleoptera, and the same is true to some extent, of the wings.
