This species, which in all the later lists has been placed in the genus Euxoa, will have to be transferred to Agrotis on the strength of the male genitalia which are typical of this latter genus; the front, furthermore, is only slightly bulging and roughened and does not show the tubercle with raised edges characteristic of most of the Euxoa species.
