A NEW LYCOSTOMUS FROM MEXICO (COLEOPTERA: LYCIDAE)

Extract
Smoky black, apical three-fourths of elytra blood red: clothed with moderately dense prostrate pubescence.
Head black, closely, finely punctate, moderately densely pubescent, a wide, deep transverse impression between the eyes: beak pubescent, closely, finely punctate, moderately long, subparallel, half as wide as long at apex; maxillary palpi closely and finely punctate, moderately pubescent, apical joint not twice as long as wide, apex rounded, inner side subangulate; antennae finely, closely punctate, densely pubescent, with a few short, erect, pale hairs scattered irregularly, third joint wider and very slightly longer than fourth.
