AN OVIPOSITION TRAP FOR ARBOVIRUS SURVEILLANCE IN CULEX SP. MOSQUITOES (DIPTERA: CULICIDAE)

Abstract

A new trapping technique which selectively captures Culex sp. mosquitoes during oviposition is described. A comparison of this trap to CDC and CO2 traps is presented and the advantages of the oviposition trap for viral monitoring discussed.
